Lauren is an experienced counsellor and Mental Health Social Worker with advanced specialist training in child and adolescent mental health and infant/parent mental health.  She completed her social work training at Monash University and holds a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Sciences and a Graduate Diploma in Infant/Parent Mental Health from Melbourne University. Lauren is widely experienced, having worked within the community health, Human Services and hospital environments.

Lauren has experience working with children and adolescents with a trauma background and has a strong interest in working with children and adolescents, and their families. She incorporates a family based approach model of care into her practice, where she aims to provide children, adolescents and their families with the right tools to work through their challenges and stress and anxiety from everyday life.

The use of trauma informed practice and cognitive behavioural therapy guides the treatment Lauren uses with children, adolescents and their families, creating opportunities for individuals to rebuild a sense of control and empowerment.
