Trauma Informed Practice Training

Professional Development for your Workplace

Heartlinks offers tailored training in Trauma Informed Practice to suit the needs of various organisations and professional groups who work across a range of sectors. We are able to customise training to achieve desired outcomes of the team and organisation.

Training is delivered by our qualified and professional staff with extensive experience in trauma informed practice as a basis for their work with families, individuals and staff in the community services sector.

Informed by the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT) and drawing on a wide range of practice evidence, training aims to develop and consolidate trauma knowledge and explore key approaches and strategies for response.

Learning Outcomes:

Training delivery is tailored to your team’s knowledge and skill levels, and the organisation’s workplace development goals, but as an example you could expect

  • Understanding the neuroscientific principles of brain development and the implications of trauma
  • Development and consolidation of knowledge and skills in working with others with a trauma informed lens
  • Practical application of principles and strategies
  • Self-care strategies

Training can range from a two hour information session, to one-day and two-day programs. The two-day program is ideally scheduled with a 6 to 8 week break to allow for integration of concepts into daily work.

Training can be delivered at your workplace, at our centres at Sandringham or Frankston, or at an external venue.

Please call us to discuss your training needs.
